I purchased two of the Miller jackets, one for myself and the other for my wife. We both really like the look and feel of the jackets. To call it a jacket for me I almost wish I would have tried the 2XL, as the way it fits in the XL it will most likely be worn as a base or mid layer. The sleeves are very snug along with the shoulders but this can all be adjusted in your size preference. I ended up really liking the color of my wife’s Miller Jacket almost more than the slate as it has a green tent to it that would blend well in the fall. I mainly purchased the jackets because of their namesake, but actually ended very pleased! I only gave 4 stars because the draw string is not really up to the badlands standard in the way it is spliced together and I’m sure it will fail at some point. But that being said it is backed by the best warranty in the business.
A: Blake, this jacket is meant to be more of a lifestyle piece, but you can definitely wear it out in the mountains. It is not as compressible as the High Uintas Jacket.
