Everything You Didn’t Know You Need to Know About the Women’s Line
You hopefully saw our launch of a wide-ranging line of women’s hunting apparel and gear, made for women, designed by women, and tested by women. If you missed the big shindig, click here to watch the whole thing.

While that may sound straightforward, we’ve been getting a few questions that we decided to go ahead and answer for everyone all at once. Saves you some time and lets us get back to the important task of brainstorming the next industry-shaking innovation.

So, with that said, here we go…

Is the Badlands women’s hunting gear just the same stuff, but in a smaller size?

That is a big, fat no, Ghost Rider. While some products share a similar name (like the Pyre) because they are similar in usage or intent, they have been designed from the ground up to meet the needs of a female in the field.

We totally understand the question, as we’ve seen plenty of “women’s” gear that’s the same as the men’s line, just marked one size different. It doesn’t work. Never will. Men and women have different needs and require different fits.

Were these really designed by women, for women?

Danielle Benge has been the driving force behind each and every product in the line. She’s tested almost every piece herself or relied on her network of female hunting fanatics to put them through the wringer.

Aside from being a gear guru, Danielle is also a hunter who got sick and tired of having to make men’s gear work for her. If you have to make something work, it’s not working for you. And if it’s not working for you, it’s working against you. She said enough was enough and got cracking on this line.

In addition to Danielle and her test crew, we outfitted several female hunters around the country with our gear. We wanted feedback from a variety of women, in a variety of climates, hunting a variety of species.

Why?

Gear doesn’t get crazy good on its own, amigo. We’re damn near obsessive about our products so you don’t have to be.

Will there be any pink items?

We never like to say never, but whenever the word “pink” comes up, every female tester we engage starts to get an eye twitch and we fear a bit for our safety.

Look at it this way, does pink help you in the field? If the answer isn’t “Yes, and here’s how,” then we’re pretty unlikely to go down that road.

Is this the whole line? Will there be more?

We’re all about the more. The mind behind these products has a pretty lengthy wish list of new stuff in the works. We’d love to tell you all about it, but it’s a work in progress and we want it to be Badlands-worthy before we share any updates.

Keep an eye on Rack Attack, though. Blake tends to leak out some early looks at gear in development.

Leggings? Did you really make leggings for hunting?

Oh, we made leggings for hunting alright. We made the most badass leggings you’ve ever seen for hunting.

The Lagatha Leggings (look her up to see the definition of badass) are tough enough to be worn in any country. Brush, burrs, bramble, boulders… Bring it on.But they are super comfy, are quiet as a shadow and have pockets.

Pockets, y’all.

When the temps start to drop, the Lagatha makes a great base layer as well.

Hopefully that answers the most burning questions you have had about the new women’s line. We wanted to offer our female fans the most durable, best-fitting, feature-filled and utility-packed line of gear that anyone has ever seen.

Have we accomplished this? That’s up to you to tell us. Hop on over to social and let us know, or better yet, leave us a review on the product pages!

In the meantime, we’re just gonna be over here working on the next generation of ultimate hunting packs, apparel and gear for hunters of any gender, size, shape and species.

Or, as we call it. Tuesday.
