2021 Badlands Film Festival Recap

The 2021 Badlands Film Festival took place as a livestream event on February 5th, 2021. Ten films were featured with awards being given to the top vote getters of the night. Thousands of dollars in prizes were also given away to show-goers from generous sponsors including Garmin, BaseMap, Fourth Arrow, Vortex Optics, Bakcou Bikes and others.

The Badlands Film Festival will return in 2022 and we'll have more details to come in the near future.

Feature Film Category

Recommended overall running time of 5-7 minutes (10-minute enforced maximum). We shortened the maximum length as a challenge so embrace it and be creative! The style? That’s up to you. We highly recommend up-tempo footage that tells a compelling story, because we’ve all seen a guy sitting and waiting in a tree...this is your chance to be different.

Short Film Category

Recommended overall running time of 2-3 minutes (4-minute enforced maximum). Once again, how much story can you tell in a short video?
