Merino Wool Fabric Technology

Merino sheep's wool is a naturally odor-resistant, moisture-wicking, warm and soft material used often in hunting materials like ours. It keeps sheep (and humans) comfortable in temperatures ranging from 5 degrees to 95 degrees — so you'll also find it on a number of Badlands apparel items.

About Merino Wool

Merino sheep are famous for their ability to survive extreme climates, due in large part to the supreme nature of their wool. Because of its effectiveness against the elements, we use Merino wool on a number of Badlands hoodies, jackets, leggings and more.

Main Tech Features

ODOR RESISTANT

Compared to traditional wool, Merino wool has a unique structure that makes it easier for air to move in and out — increasing breathability and decreasing your scent.

MOISTURE-WICKING

Merino wool fibers can absorb about one third of its weight in moisture without feeling soaked. When moisture reaches the surface of the piece, it easily evaporates into the air.

SOFT AND WARM

Much finer than traditional wool, Merino wool has an ultra-soft, comfortable feel. Because of that fineness, it's a material that also has an incredible warmth-to-weight ratio.
