We got pant side vents!!!

"We got ourselves a winner… Tor Pro Mountain pant is a keeper. Finally Badlands has started to integrate vent zips on their pants, a welcomed feature that is a now available in several of their new pants and is an outstanding feature on the Tor Pro Mountain pant…. but first let’s talk about the fit! For your consideration when determining your proper size, I am 5’ 10 225lbs and the TPMP (Tor Pro Mountain Pant) I ordered is XL. I ordered the standard length which I believe is 34. The pants are a little long but with my Crispis on the length is fine and won’t be an issue. IMO the TPMP is designed around a full cut sizing. There is plenty of room to layer especially with the slight stretch to the pants fabric. I see absolutely no issues with the cuff going around boots (I never had an issue with any of Badlands pants) that being said the TPMP is nowhere near a boot cut however nobody should have any issues getting around a 18” Muck boot. I’d compare the fit very close to the Rise Pro pant. I found when the knee pads where attached the pant was still very comfortable and I had zero mobility issues while donned. The video I shared with this review, the pads were removed. As far as the placement of the knee pads, they are spot on and I found that no adjustment was needed when kneeling into position. The TPMP fabric is quiet and DWR treated. The zippers feature corded pull tabs and like the fabric are silent when closing and opening. I know silent material is a huge issue with our members and I can assure you that the TPMP is adequate to bowhunt in. Pockets are adequately sized however there is only 1 rear pocket (zippered) IMO Badlands should have put 2 rear pockets. I found myself reaching back for a rear pocket that wasn’t there. Does it suck? Yes…. A deal breaker? No. The Vent pockets are awesome! The vent zips are hidden within the fabric which is visually nice however may have guys fumbling at times to close them. Thankfully all of the zippers have a paracord pull tab which will be helpful when wearing gloves. Hopefully the vents will be standard going forward on all of Badlands hunting pant offerings. The TPMP features dual micro adjustment tabs on both the left and right side of the waist. I’m a suspender guy so I don’t see myself taking advantage of them BUT for guys in between sizes and looking to snug up the waste will love this feature. Another pant detail I’d like to address is the suspender loops. The loops have stretch to them! Unlike the original Calor and Rise pants the TPMP loops aren’t a cordura material so those of you using other brand suspenders shouldn’t have any issues getting them into the loops! Speaking of features, let’s address the knee pads. The TPMP comes with knee pads and personally, I will go on the record and say these are the best knee pads available for pants period. They are rubber, not made of flimsy foam like other brands. The included pads are lightweight and when in use extremely comfortable. Because of the knee pads, I can see these pants being very popular with the saddle hunting community. The TPMP is not a summer pant! That being said, come October 1st I’ll be wearing these into the woods. I can confidently say with proper layering I’ll be wearing these well into January. Badlands did a great job with the Tor Pro Mountain Pant. Overall, I think the saddle hunters and spot and stalkers are gonna love these pants."
