We created the Pyre Jacket for frigid sits, when your breath freezes in mid-air but retreating just isn’t an option. The 160-gram PrimaLoft® Silver fill is perfect when Jack Frost comes calling. Just to be safe, the Pyre is 100 percent waterproof, too — because cold and wet is a very bad combo. Finally, the Pyre’s articulated arms make it easy to adjust the hood, the cuffs, or get into your interior rangefinder pocket.

"I bought these to hunt whitetail in Northeastern PA. I picked up both the bibs and the jacket. It was about 26° in the morning with strong wind, and the only part of me that got cold was my toes—and that was because of my old boots. The bibs performed extremely well. I went with a large because I don’t like overly baggy hunting clothes . I’m 5’8”, around 180 lbs with an athletic build. The bibs fit comfortably over a single Merino wool base layer and the badlands calor jacket and that was all I needed to stay warm throughout the entire day."

"Hard to buy gear over the internet with out chceking it out in person. But with the amazing badlands warranty I had little concern. Q&A

Does burdock and other burrs stick to this material?
Cody, due to the microsuede face fabric, this will pick up some burrs etc.
Are you going to be restocking this in the Approach pattern?
Curt, unfortunately the Pyre Jacket in the Approach pattern has been discontinued. This product will only be in Approach FX going forward.
How many grams of Primaloft silver are in the Pyre?
TPW, the Pyre Jacket features 160g Primaloft Hi-Loft Ultra in the core area, and 133g Primaloft Silver in the sleeves.
Is the fabric burr resistant?
Tom, the fabric is not burr-resistant.
For an all day sit, would it be warm enough with the Calor base layers if it was 30 degrees?
Brian, you might need another mid-layer, but it shouldn't be an issue! The Pyre set is WARM!
