"Great quality"
Love it!
"Love the pack. Its an awesome system. Wish I knew it didn't come with the meat shelf when i ordered my first one. Ordered a second pack and made sure to order the marshals. Second pack is a gift for Christmas."
Good / Not Great
"Likes: price, comfort, accessories Dislikes: side zipper location (hard to get to), lack of meaningful buckles (can't easily attach thing to bag) The draw strong on my bag broke on the second day of use. Tied a square knot in the paracord and kept on trucking along."
The pack worked very well
"The pack worked very well on my recent Wyoming hunt. I packed an average of 30 lbs a day and put in over 42 miles. I was very happy with the material that was very durable and quiet. I have use an OX and MRK series packs in the past and the vario was just as impressive. The comfort and weight distribution was as I would expect from a Badlands pack design. Very well balanced and functional."
this is a great fitting
"this is a great fitting pack. Being modular is one of the reasons I bought it. Haven't used it yet but hunting season is just around the corner."
The Meat Hauler
"The Vario system is one of the most brilliant ideas Badlands has come up with. To be able to swap packs for different applications but still run the same frame. . . genious! I bought the Vario 50 and the Vario frame along with several of the attachments (the deluxe batwing and Badlands game bag) for hauling out elk in the mountains. My system today has packed out 4 bulls. One of those pack outs the pack weighed over 110 lbs (we weighed the pack when we got home). It held up like a champ. If you're wanting a good solid frame pack with a lot of versatility. . . go with the Vario. I am planning on buying the Day OS pack for it soon. . . if you're wanting to be able to run light I would highly recommend getting the Day OS as well."
Vario is the way to go!!!!
"Love this setup! The frame and 50 is perfect for elk hunting Colorado for a 3-5 day pack also got the day pack for those short hikes. Vario makes meat packing a breeze with the meat shelf that fits behind the pack and against the frame. It’s the baddest of the land!"
Great as always
"This was a little difficult to figure how to attach to carbon frame, but after YouTube video and the explanations of all the different ways to use, this was a great decision! This is why I use only badlands products"
Great!
"It has plenty of storage and a couple of pockets. It is just a giant stuff sack. It would be nice to see it with a full zippered front for easy access and organization."
Q&A
- Will this pack fit on the carbon ox frame
- Sean, the only pack that will fit on the CarbonOX frame is the CarbonOX pack itself. The Vario packs will not fit on the CarbonOX frame.
- The description and features list doesn't mention this, but the shoulder strap says "BINO" on it. Can you confirm that the Vario packs are compatible with the bino connect system?
- Dave, the Vario Frame is compatible with the Bino Connect kit!
- Do you need the frame for vario packs ?
- Rich, all of the Vario packs do need the Vario Frame to function!
- Can you show some pics and a video would be awesome of the vario 50 on the carbon ox frame?
- Steve, the Vario packs are only designed to fit on the Vario frame, unfortunately the Vario Packs are not designed to fit on the CarbonOX frame! If you have any further questions, let us know at info@badlandspacks.com!
