A cover for nasty weather

"I bought two of these covers. I would not use these as an everyday hunting scope cover because they are not as fast as flip ups. In sub-freezing temps with wind, mist, or snow or whatever else the hunt gods are trying to hit you with they are 100% the cover you want. Secures to the scope, does not fall off or flip up. if you are using big scopes or scopes with sunshades you need to go with the LG. LG will scrunch up to fit but looks like a scrunchie."

"Before this scope cover I used the vortex scope covers exclusively. I will now transition to the badlands cover for everything. Excellent quality and fits great. They do however need a longer one to accommodate the larger scopes with the shade on. Other than that they are amazing."

Good protection

"This scope cover provided good protection for the scope. However it is hard to get on and off and doesn’t collapse to fit in your pack when you get to the tree. It’s well made and protects better than a neoprene cover but the neoprene is easier. Conclusion: good for a target gun in your safe I think I would use a neoprene cover for hunting."

Not what I was expecting

"A little overbuilt and bulky as a result. I am not a huge fan of this one but maybe it will grow on me. I feel like the little strap on the front is overkill as if the designer is expecting it to fall off. If you are in a hurry to take it off, it looks like it will be in the way of itself. I really love my Badlands products but should have saved my money on the scope cover. Material feels very durable and should be fine but as far as scope covers go, just not what I was hoping for."

Q&A

The description states a small will fit up to 57mm, and several reviews refer to the small fitting perfectly on scopes in the 50mm range. Will it fit snug enough on a 36mm objective to protect against dust and humidity? The description says it's adjustable, but that a fairly wide range to cover well...
Everett, it will fit a 36mm objective. The cover has an adjustable draw string that will tighten it down so it will not move!
I got a sig Sauer bdx scope the length is right will the large or the small but its only a max of 70mm diameter for the large so if I got the large would it still fit around the scope I got because my scope got a 80mm diameter from my parallax turret to my windage turret. or will small fit with just as well

I tried YouTube first, my question is does it stay on when your hunting? Are the end covers separate from the camo portion? I’m just trying to figure how it looks and functions when it’s time to shoot. I can only order this online and can not see it before I buy it. Thanks
Derek, you can choose to have it on while hunting. Yes, the two ends have more protection than the middle area. When needed, there is a loop on the eyepiece side that you pull towards you, then up and forward to quickly take off the scope cover.
Will the large stretch to 17.5"?
