The Venture Jacket all started with features like a brimmed hood, cuff closures and a chin guard to make long, cold, wet days more bearable. Then we went with the quietest, 100% waterproof microsuede known to man. To really go all in, we gave the Venture a super-deep chest pocket with rangefinder lanyard and compression sleeves that won't interfere with your bowstring when the moment of truth arrives.

"This jacket was amazing! It was warm, comfortable and wind proof. Weather ranged from 15 degrees to 40 degrees at 11,300 ft in Colorado elk hunting season 4. Had to layer with a fleece when still hunting. Material is quiet, like really quiet, not sure how they designed it but I will never buy another brand."

"Jacket performs well in most wet conditions , is warm and comfortable and is also quiet. But 2 things id change are the neck stitcing is rough and can be itchy, and adding a more quiet layer on the inside of the hood would be nice as the current material makes its very hard to hear anything while the hoodie is on."

The venture jacket worked very

"The venture jacket worked very well in my resent late season elk hunt in Wyoming. If there was one thing I would change is that with the hood up the inside material is very noisy when you turn your head. A softer quieter lining would be a great addition. Other than that the jacket functioned very well in all aspects and changing weather conditions. It was very comfortable in below freezing temps, wind and even sunny warmer weather. Those breathability allowed me to wear the jacket for longer duration before before having to remove layers."

What’s the weight of the venture jacket?
Brad, the Venture Jacket in a size large weighs 30 oz!
How compressible is this in comparison to the exo jacket, and how much of a warming layer would the exo be in comparison to this jacket.
Josh, the Exo Set is a rain shell, and does not have any insulation. The Venture jacket features 80-grams of PrimaLoft Hi-Loft Insulation in the chest and 40-grams in the arms which will keep you much warmer in addition to keeping you dry. The Venture Jakcet can pack down to about 10x6x8" or slightly bigger than a football. The Exo is a bit more packable and will pack down to about 10x4x4".
What pair of pants would match with these jacket? Looking at the options the only warm, water and windproof option is the pyre bibs, which are too much pants for this jacket. Thanks.
heavyd, we do not have a matching pant at this time. You would need the Resist Pant and the Catalyst Pant to match this jacket.
Is this jacket going to be available in the approach camo pattern in the future
Eddy, unfortunately the Venture Jacket in the Approach pattern has been discontinued. This product will only be in Approach FX going forward.
I’m 6’3” and 230lbs. Wondering which size you would recommend. I’m torn between the XL and XXL. Any suggestions?
