Excellent Upgrade!

"This is an excellent addition to the Vario system. I purchased this upgrade along with the rest of the Vario setup and so very thankful I did. Having the extra pocket space is critical. I have the Vario 50 and though it has lots of storage. . . it has very little pockets for organization. Having the Deluxe Batwings helps change that, giving you extra pockets. I highly recommend buying a set of these if you have or planning on getting the Vario setup. Also worth mentioning that the deluxe batwings do come with extra long straps so when you have a load of meat on and the pack. . . you can still reach the buckles and cinch the whole pack down."

MUST HAVE

"Unless you Absolutely have to keep your pack weight to a bare minimum, then the Deluxe Bat Wings are a must have item for some additional storage and organization. Additionally, the Deluxe wings can be used in tandem with the Spot Wings. Attach the Deluxe wings first, as high as they can go on the Vario Frame, and then attach the Spot Wings as low as they can on the frame. The Deluxe Wing will rest perfectly above the exterior pockets on the Spot Wing without blocking them."

Vario Deluxe Batwing

"The Deluxe Batwing is awesome. If your like me you like to have a large main pack to carry your camp gear and some outer pockets for easy access to snacks, med kit, kill kit, etc. if I could make one change it would be to square them off and make them slightly deeper so that I could drop my main pack completely and run with just the Batwings once I set up camp."

Q&A

Does this fit the carbon OX?
Chase, the Vario Deluxe Batwings do not have the same connection points and are NOT compatible with the Carbon OX frame.
There's a third pouch on the inside of one of the wings. Space runs all the way to the top with two buckles near the zipper. The buckles don't look like any of my other buckles on other packs or accessories. What is this for?
Clint, this pocket allows one to move their rifle boot to the bat wing pocket so that the rifle can be carried to the side instead of directly behind!
What are the dimensions of the storage pockets? Trying to determine if a spotting scope would fit in them.
Chris, the pockets on the Deluxe Batwing will not fit a spotting scope inside of them.
Is the deluxe batwing compatible with the carbon ox frame?
